Kathy Gallo

Kathy is the Managing Principal of Marshall Goldsmith Partners LLC (MGP). In addition to her own coaching and coach training work, Kathy works with clients to integrate behavioral coaching programs into their overall leadership development agenda, works with clients to select appropriate coaches for specific leaders, and oversees the performance of coaching engagements. Within MGP, Kathy has lead responsibility for client development, coach network selection, product/service design, finance, operations, and strategic partnerships. Additionally, Kathy shares her expertise with Katzenbach Partners LLC client teams on talent development strategies and programs. Before joining MGP, Kathy took a sabbatical to study leadership coaching and to coach private clients working in the hospitality, steel, executive search, and law enforcement research industries.

Prior to her coaching studies, Kathy was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for a Fortune 50 Financial Services firm, where she led an overall change program for the Human Resource function and for key people processes across the company. This included developing and implementing new performance management and executive compensation systems for the top 200 leaders, redesigning health and welfare benefits for all employees, and designing new training programs for both business and leadership skill development. She also worked closely with the Board of Directors to prepare the annual leadership assessment of the Chairman and CEO, and to develop a succession plan for Chief-level officers.

In her prior role as Principal and Director of Professional Development for McKinsey and Company, a global management consulting firm, Kathy led the design and implementation of innovative programs to help recruit, staff, excite, retain, and assess the performance of 12,000 consultants operating in 44 countries.

Kathy holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.B.A. from Marymount University of Virginia, and a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University.
